|SSR International, Inc.|
Our goal is to provide high quality, patented, state-of-the-art air conditioning sealants and dehydrants that have been tested and used successfully for over 32 years by air conditioning professionals. Our aim is to provide air conditioning professionals low cost, simple solutions for consumers. The consumer's satisfaction is our ultimate goal.
History and Background
Starting in 1962, the evolution of sealants and dehydrants began. The development process included many experts in the fields of engineering and chemistry. This R&D emphasized the invention and discovery of natural gas leak detection and gas leak sealing solutions. In Florida, American Dynamics International, Inc. a privately held corporation was formed and initially the emphasis was on, "Making Invisible Gases Visible". Research and Development was done in Michigan, Ohio, and Florida from 1968-1973, numerous patents were issued in the United States, and many foreign countries. From this technology evolved underground natural gas pipeline sealing. During this same period of time, extensive R&D continued and it was from natural gas sealing that self-sealing refrigerants evolved for R-12 and R-22 air conditioning systems.
Cryo-Chem International, Inc.
After extensive R&D was completed and tested, Cryo-Chem International was incorporated in the State of Florida specifically for manufacturing and distributing air conditioning sealants and dehydrants for R-12 and R-22 systems. Markets in the beginning phase included:
- 18 wheeler transport refrigeration units and tractor air conditioning units
- Commercial establishments-restaurants, apartment complexes
- Mercy Ship M/V "ANASTASIS" ministries 522 foot ship-A/C used in operating room and for medical supplies
- Norfolk Navy Base, VA-used in a variety of HVACR units
- Ice skating rink-Michigan
- Ocean sailing boat and large boat "SEA FEVER" -A/C repair at sea
- Ferris State University-presentation of products to American Council of Automotive Teachers Convention-Michigan
- City of Coral Gables, Florida - Emergency Rescue Vehicles, and Police cars.
- Automobiles-Domestic and Foreign, R-12 and R-134a (retrofits beginning in 1990 with Clean Air Act)
SSR International, Inc.
SSR International was incorporated in the State of Florida for distribution and continued R&D. During the early 1990's when R-12 refrigerant was being phased out and R-134a refrigerant became a replacement, SSR was on the cutting edge of redeveloping sealants and dehydrants for new systems using R-134a refrigerant and for retrofitting. Our R-22 sealant/dehydrant continues to provide solutions to the HVACR industry as requested by the air conditioning service technicians, and for industrial solutions. SSR
Products are in the R&D phase to meet the challenges of eliminating HCFC phase out to more efficient technology solutions for stationary air conditioning systems.
Today, Cryo-Chem International, Inc. and SSR International, Inc. are proud to uphold the tradition as the original manufacturers of self-sealing refrigerants and dehydrants. We continue to manufacture and distribute quality products for air conditioning professionals to offer consumers. Our products have endured the test of time and continue to be enhanced as we move forward with new solutions.
